Welcome to the TRS family. We are very excited to have you as a client. myTRS is a semi-customizable system, which means you can personalize your registration site within the available capabilities of the system.
Before you start working on the system, consult this list of items you will need to gather to complete your registration site and be ready to take it live.
Ready to get started? Here is the basic information you will need to get started:
General Settings
- Set Event Start Date – this will appear on the home page.
- Set Event End Date – this will appear on the home page.
- Set Registration Closing Date – this is the date that the registration site will close to the public.
- Set Status – choose between Building/Testing/Live/Closed; these are purely for reference and will not affect the status of your site.
- Additional check options (right hand side):
- Email settings allow you to choose what does and does not show up in confirmation emails; consult with your TRS rep.
- Integration settings shows which integrations are available for use. These are paid options; consult with your TRS rep.
Welcome Page Wording: An introduction to your organization and general registration's rules.
Graphic Banner: The banner is visible on every page of your registration site and on emails sent through the system (dimensions must be exactly 1200 x 250, preferably in a .jpeg format).
Registrant Types and Descriptions: A registrant type is a way to categorize your registrants and display registration information such as profile questions, activities or price of the activities based on their registration type selection.
Activity Groups: Activity groups will help you organize your activities by grouping them. Activity groups will appear as a header on the activity selector page.
Activities and Time Slots: This is your full list of registration/volunteer needs. You will need to lay out the following:
- All the activities organized by activity groups
- Time slots: Start date and time / end date and time (Note that you can have activities without time slots)
- Capacity: How many people are needed for each time slot? What is the maximum number of registrants allowed for each time slot? The system will mark a time slot or activity as full when the maximum number of registrants is met.
- Activity descriptions
- List of registrant types that should have access to the activities
- If you decide to import your activities into TRS, please use the following template click here for more information on importing activities.
Profile Page Questions: List the questions you want to ask your registrants (i.e. age, shirt size)
Terms and Conditions (optional): This can include waiver, general registration rules, refund policy, etc.
Confirmation page wording. This is information regarding what to expect next (i.e. location, training, uniforms, etc).
Confirmation Email: This is often a repeat of the wording on #8 (i.e. contact information, etc.). This is also where you can opt to be notified if someone cancels a shift.
Once you start working on your site, you will see that you have many other options to customize it, add instructions, etc. However, this list is a good place to start.
